Paulínia House

The great challenge of the architect Aquiles Nícolas Kílaris when designing Casa Paulínia was to maintain the architectural grandeur characteristic of his work, in a building with one floor. The double height was the great secret used by him to maintain the sumptuousness and elegance of the residence. The facade received an aerial beam that passes in front of the huge glass cloth. On the slab, another curve is born, in the opposite direction to that of the beam, thus giving movement and volume to the facade. This is one of the main characteristics of the architect's projects, which values curved lines and organic forms. The sinuous layout is also present in the design of the large pivoting door installed right at the entrance. Inside, Paulínia House is fully integrated, with many windows and openings, which allows abundant lighting. The concept was to make better use of spaces, designing fewer environments, all of them more spacious and with various functions. The living room, with double height and decoration on the walls, was also used as a TV room. The elegance that asks for the living can be found in the armchairs, coffee table and TV panel with illuminated niches that go up to the ceiling. The sofa is super comfortable, used in home theater projects, and has a system that turns it into a bed if necessary. The whole space is clean and contemporary. The dining room is fully integrated with the living room, the huge table for 10 seats is the central element of the space. Next to it, a door leads to a small winter garden that brings nature into the property. The kitchen is an extension of the dining room and the dining table separates the spaces. The work island, with hood and stove embraces the kitchen, which has been decorated on the wall with black and white photos. Photos from various countries, this time colored, decorate the corridor that leads to the rooms and a mirror-covered closet - to reflect the nature of the garden - has the function of organizing bed linen and towels. In the girl's room, the decoration is based on fend and blue. The master gives access to the garden and a corner of armchairs and umbrellas. Gourmet area is complete and was designed with kitchen structure, barbecue, TV-shaped fish counter, tables, all with a view of the tropical landscaping.
