The countryside in the city

There is nothing more cozy than the memory of a farmhouse, large, comfortable and with that smell of freshly brewed coffee in a beautiful rustic kitchen. It was based on these memories that the architect designed this 372 square meter house, in the interior of São Paulo, for a couple of businessmen and their four daughters. Built in an urban center, the contemporary project was signed by the architect Aquiles Nícolas Kílaris, but has a country house feel. The concept of living well and at the same time escaping the insecurity and criminality of the streets was the central point of the project, which brought inside the walls of the house, a beautiful leisure area with space for socializing, without losing the way of receiving family and friends, very typical of the interior. In the leisure area, the rescue to the field appears in full force. The 24 square meter swimming pool was designed with organic shapes and its waterfall, which refers to the sound of a waterfall, leaves the structure of the house, serving as a backdrop for the living room. The spa and the wooden deck make up the visual of relaxation. The walls surrounding the property gained reliefs in stylized mountain shapes, thus reinforcing country references. The gourmet space is ideal for gathering friends and in the background, a 25-year-old jabuticaba tree was transplanted, leaving the garden with a touch of orchard. Planned with few walls to give a greater sense of spaciousness, the property also brings the professional style of the professional, who uses curved lines in his projects, organic forms and provides the integration of indoor environments with nature in the outdoor areas. In the rooms and corridors of the intimate wing, the floor covering is laminated with wood, which increases the feeling of warmth and the "chic rusticity". The decoration abuses the light colors on the fabrics and walls. The darker tones are used in some decorative objects. In the kitchen, the influence of the countryside is even stronger. In this environment, a demolition wooden panel was installed. The dark tone of the wood also accompanies cabinets and the table top. Incidentally, in this project, wood has an important highlight. It can be found in different environments of the house. The contemporary touch is present in the hood of singular design, appliances and utensils of the last generation.
