Damha House

The projects signed by the architect Aquiles Nícolas Kílaris have their own DNA, a registered trademark. This is the case of Casa Damha, in Piracicaba (SP), which has a differentiated closure, with the rounded corner of glass cloth and the slab in the same projection as the overhead beam. In it are characteristic elements of the Kílaris style that are widely disseminated, such as: the circular mosaics on the entrance floor and the curved work on the ceilings that dynamize the spaces. Right at the entrance, the plaster ceiling with luminotechnical effect and the winding staircase attract attention. The social area is all facing the external gardens and the side entrance that offers direct access to the leisure area. Inside the house, the social spaces are integrated and in the decoration based on lighter colors, the highlight is due to several pinches of red in objects arranged in the living room and also by one of the walls of the dining room totally painted in red. Down two flights of stairs, we find the home theater, designed with a view to the leisure area. In addition to the cozy sofa, the room has a mirror panel with built-in TV and an organic-shaped furniture that accommodates electronic devices. When climbing the "S" shaped staircase, we find a mezzanine responsible for the distribution of the three suites of the property, idealized to reflect the personality of each of the residents of the house. The kitchen is reserved for the social area and has a direct connection with the leisure area, which is a complete space. In addition to the beautiful garden, leisure consists of a beautiful pool in organic format with a waterfall coming out of the slab and gourmet space - barbecue, stove, work sink, meal bench, stools and side tables - with finishes that mix the rustic with the contemporary.
