Casa Cor 2011
Decoration Shows
Sustainability in architecture is a reality and everyone recognizes the importance of a project that collaborates with the preservation of the environment. At Casa Cor 2011 the architect Aquiles Nícolas Kílaris decided to put his layout at the service of this concept. In the Living Room environment, which was signed jointly with the designer Iara Kílaris, in addition to using environmentally friendly materials, he used the sustainable architectural feature to create spaces comfortable and pleasant. Nature is an inexhaustible source of well-being for man. From there, the idea of transporting it into the project arose in an even more concrete way, reproducing it in its original form to increase the feeling of relaxation in closed environments. Upon entering the environment, visitors were surprised by the winding course of a river represented in the plaster of the Sala's ceiling. The colors used were reminiscent of the sands of a peaceful water mirror. Plaster was also used in making sculptures installed on the wall and on the LCD screen support furniture. Little wood was used, plaster was the main ally. It is more economical and extremely versatile and allows for an infinite number of shapes and designs that provide life and movement to spaces. In addition to the Living Room, they designed an art gallery in a corridor area that ran through the exhibition's various environments. The project combined sustainability and well-being with the technological advances of our time. For that, the environment was completely automated. From a tablet or smartphone and with just one click, it was possible to watch a movie, listen to the radio or watch TV programming.
